Here’s what people are saying about The 1940s DVDs:

The 1940s shows a side of America you won’t find in any history book.

Paula Hunsicker

I hope to share the DVDs with my church group. They are real, historic, unique, emotional, funny and sad – well done. We are looking forward to the next one!

John and Betty Pfeifer

I love the magazine, but this really brought it to life.
Sally Kisner

How nostalgic the experience of watching it – made the years fall away – like being reunited with my parents.
Dee Beckman

Superb job of combining all aspects of the times.  Humor, jobs, family, hardship, rewards, in one package – America.   I would absolutely recommend The 1940s for a real, first person view of America during a tumultuous era – don’t you dare miss this presentation.
Albert Cooley

This show has integrity!  Very enjoyable with all the  emotions from the point of view of a child.  I was born in 1940 but I remember events and emotions very clearly the last few years of the 40s.  The video brings back plenty of good memories and emotions.  Something to have to pass down through the generations.
Elizabeth Wyant

Buy one now!  Use it to teach the current generation about what really went on 50~60 years ago.  Grandma was a young girl too.
Janet Sothan

The magazine is great but I think more young people will see and enjoy the video.  How many 20 year olds pick up Reminisce magazine?   Thanks for doing this – for calling on the soldiers, especially while they can tell stories and enjoy seeing themselves.  Here’s a good way to see real American patriotism!
Eileen Langdon

Seeing and hearing the personal stories was better than simply reading them.
Ed Wyant

It is an excellent presentation that provides a full and complete picture of that decade.  It is informative and entertaining.  It captures the true spirit of America.  Looking forward to the 50s, 60s etc.  Great Job!
Claudette Erek

As a retired educator, these DVDs would be wonderful in the classroom to make history “come alive”.  I can also see social directors showing these DVDs in retirement homes, facilities where patients have difficulty reading.
Pat Benyshek

The video was very true to what life was like at that time.  It was a good reminder that after the war life was safe and people were happy.
Betty Unbehaun

I found each section to have stirred long forgotten special memories.
Betty Wolf

It really made me feel part of a wonderful generation and how "special" my life was then.  I can certainly relate to what I saw.  I most enjoyed the various “war stories” and how we all pulled together.  Watching it made me very proud to be an American.
Bruce Erek

The 1940s brings back memories of family and a simpler way of life.
Robert Jackson

I am an 84-year “young” widow and this so reminded me of many photos we have.  I have 10 wonderful grandchildren and I’m sure they will enjoy watching the DVDs also.
Martha Guest

I ordered a set and, although I was born in ’52, I thoroughly enjoyed your presentation and have watched ‘em all twice!  Great job with these DVDs.  I will recommend them to my friends and family.
Tom Noller

This is a must see for anyone who lived through the forties. It is very well done. We enjoyed the background music from that era as well as the advertisements.
